About the book

This volume opens a dialogue on soul, ethical responsibility and liberation in Jain tradition. It considers humanity’s relationship with living beings, action and choice, then compares these questions with Islamic perspectives on justice, worship and destiny.

Part of the ongoing Ala Basirah series: dialogues on faith, Islam and the school of Ahl al-Bayt. Each dialogue examines questions, sources, arguments and objections with clarity and respect, and remains open to review and development.
